After a 4-12 2008 season wiped out by a record setting injury plague it is no surprise that the Seattle Seahawks are taking a slow approach to bringing injured starters back.
That is why we find Pro Bowl CB Marcus Trufant (among others), on the Physically Unable To Perform List.
Trufant played the majority of the season with a broken wrist, and played with a cast on.
Even when injured teams avoided throwing to his side when they could.
He is one of several key veterans who need to make a collective rebound (Pro Bowl DE Patrick Kerney, Pro Bowl QB Matt Hasselbeck, Pro Bowl LT Walter Jones), in the biggest way.
To fill the roster void the Seahawk's signed former division rival CB Travis Fisher to a one year deal.
Having escaped from the winless Detroit Lions, Fisher probably factors into fighting for a spot to round out the depth chart.
With how disappointing Kelly Jennings' has been, a good camp could conceivably earn him the dime slot.
If he manages to make the team...
