During the NFL's review of how the league will look to prevent helmet-to-helmet hits, Exhibit A was introduced - Cleveland Browns RB Trent Richarson's violent hit on Eagles safety Kurt Coleman that sent his helmet flying off. By a majority vote, running backs can now be penalized for lowering their heads and intentionally using the crown of their helmet on opposing players when they're outside the tackle box.
