Turn On The Jets:
New York Jets
After the disaster of watching the Jets get absolutely demolished by the Miami Dolphins in person at MetLife Stadium, I, like many of you, was extremely down on this team. In my head I had all kinds of ideas about who I’d be selling in my Stock Watch, what players I’d attempt to publicly complain about some more (Calvin Pace), and already start thinking about who we’d be looking at with our top 5 draft pick. But then, after the disaster of watching the Jets, another disaster hit the area (Screw you, Sandy), and I was unable to do a Stock Watch. Perhaps not being able to write that column was for the best. Now I’m back with a fresh outlook on the team, and I hope everyone out there is safe, healthy, and on their way to rebounding back after the recent disaster… kind of like our Jets. Also, please check out my Jets (and NFL) First Half Awards to get my take on the confusing first 8 games of this season. (Or even if you don’t care about my football thoughts, I’d love to hear what you t...

At 3-5 and with a difficult schedule ahead, the New York Jets look like long shots for a third playoff berth in Rex Ryan's four seasons as coach. Ryan is embracing that challenge, and believes he has the team to make a strong run in the second half of the schedule.
That schedule begins Sunday in Seattle, where the Seahawks are undefeated.
But Ryan likes the idea of starting...
The New York Jets begin the second half of their 2012 schedule with what will be a daunting task. The Jets head into Seattle to take on the 5-4 Seahawks, a franchise that has exceeded expectations up until this point through a variety of talent, tenacity, energy, youth, and passion. Pete Carroll has injected a positive influence over his team that is reflected by the Seahawks’...

SNY?s ?The Jets Blog Podcast? on Wednesday, questioning why the
Jets aren?t using Tim Tebow more often.
Rex Ryan has found the positive side of being voted the most overrated coach in the NFL.
A poll of 103 players in The Sporting News had Ryan with 35 votes, beating New England's Bill Belichick, who had 16.
But the New York Jets coach jokes: ''My first thought was I looked and saw who was second. Hey, I finally beat Belichick. I got him. I knew it would take time, but...
When approached for comment about Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez being voted the two most overrated players in the league, Jets coach Rex Ryan struggled to come up with one.
But when approached for comment about himself being voted the most overrated coach in the league, he predictably had many things to say. One of which was that he wasn’t offended by it (yeah right) and surprise...
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is not all that upset about recently being voted the most overrated coach in the NFL. Instead, the Jolly Green Giant has found a way to put a positive spin on the whole thing. If nothing else, Rex can now say he beat Bill Belichick at something.
“My first thought was I looked and saw who was second,” Ryan said on Wednesday according to the NY...
Tim Tebow hasn’t been given much time to assert his presence in the Jets offense.
One season after totaling 18 touchdowns with a playoff-bound Broncos team, Tebow has been relegated to spot duty in Rex Ryan‘s offense this year. And the 25-year-old isn’t pleased with his new role.
“I think when you’re getting the ball a lot during the game you can get the rhythm of the game...
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan told the media that he doesn’t blame Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll for trying to talk quarterback Mark Sanchez into staying at USC when they were both their.
“I did not blame Pete Carroll one bit,” Ryan said, according to the New York Daily News, via the Seattle Times. “If I had that young man as my quarterback, I’d say whatever it took...
The emergence of so many young quarterbacks in recent years has turned the National Football League into a "passing league".Or so say the experts and media outlets who cover the sport.Recent years have also shown that it is possible for teams with weak defenses to not only make it to the Super Bowl, but win it. Sometimes it seems like I'm watching the "Bizarro...
The Jets' front office can't seem to get enough offensive lineman to protect quarterback Mark Sanchez. Add Hayworth Hick's name to the list of the newest members of the Green and White.

New York Jets (3-5) at Seattle Seahawks (5-4)
I’m so glad there isn’t a heavy public lean on Seattle this week. As some of you may know, the public killed the odds makers in unprecedented fashion last week, going 12-2 and winning every heavy lean. The odds makers aren’t going broke or anything. They killed the public for the first 8 weeks of the season and are still up on the...
Week 9 Record: 2-1
Season Record: 10-16-1
Why do the Giants always look like such a good bet? It’s like every single week I look at them and I’m like “Yeah of course they’re covering that.” Look at this week, -3.5 against the Bengals? Really? I feel like the Giants win this game by four points or more 99% of the time. So am I going to go with them as one of my three highlight...
