So many great things have been said about Brett Favre as he's decided to move on with his life and end his playing career. But as we look at his accomplishments, there are just some statistics that really stand out.
Sure we all know about his three consecutive MVP awards, 95-97, most wins by a starting quarterback with 160, the most passing touchdowns with 442, most career passing yards, 61,655, most career pass attempts, 8,758, most career pass completions, 5,377, most career interceptions, 288, most career three touchdown games, 63, and his games started streak of 253 (275 including playoffs).
But what stands out to me, more then just the accolades mentioned, the Packers have the most wins of any other NFL team since 1992. This is a stat that most people would never know. This is a testament to just how good Brett Favre really was.
He brought the team back to the glory days, in the 16 seasons prior to Favre, the Packers had only one 10 win season and only one playoff appearance. Since Favre, the Packers have had winning seasons in all but three years, two of them at 8-8, and 11 playoff appearances.
But before Favre became a legend in Green Bay, the trade from the Falcons to the Packers almost never happened.
