The Patriots added depth and ball security when they drafted James White, the former Wisconsin running back, with the 130th pick. He is no stranger to sharing the running load, as he split carries with Giovanni Bernard in high school and cycled with John Clay, Melvin Gordon and Montee Ball at Wisconsin. Overall he averaged 6.2 yards per carry for 4,015 yards in three years and set the Wisconsin record for the longest rush with this on the first play from scrimmage versus Indiana. See below for Twitter’s reaction to New England’s 4th round pick. Thank you everyone for the support this weekend! #PatsNation — James White (@SweetFeet_White) May 10, 2014 Patriots covet reliability first among RB’s: James White had just 2 fumbles in 754 career college touches. — Field Yates (@FieldYates) May 10, 2014 James White is a distant cousin of Sinorice and Santana Moss. Has 29-inch arms, 8-inch hands. Won’t be getting things off higher shelves — Tom E. Curran (@tomecurran) May 10, 2014 Along with Freeman, James White might be the best pass protector in this class. #Patriots — Josh Norris (@JoshNorris) May 10, 2014 Montee to manning James to Brady hahaha I mean they both went to legends … Somebody about to win a super bowl really early — Gordon | 25™ | A01 (@Melvingordon25) May 10, 2014 You may also be interested in:Twitter reaction to newly drafted running back James WhiteIs New England Patriots QB Tom Brady the best in the NFL right now?
