The Patriots added depth and ball security when they drafted James White, the former Wisconsin running back, with the 130th pick. He is no stranger to sharing the running load, as he split carries with Giovanni Bernard in high school and cycled with John Clay, Melvin Gordon and Montee Ball at Wisconsin. Overall he averaged 6.2 yards per carry for 4,015 yards in three years and set the Wisconsin record for the longest rush with this on the first play from scrimmage versus Indiana. See below for Twitter’s reaction to New England’s 4th round pick.
Thank you everyone for the support this weekend! #PatsNation

Patriots covet reliability first among RB’s: James White had just 2 fumbles in 754 career college touches.

James White is a distant cousin of Sinorice and Santana Moss. Has 29-inch arms, 8-inch hands. Won’t be getting things off higher shelves

Along with Freeman, James White might be the best pass protector in this class. #Patriots
