Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace and cornerback Keenan Lewis attended the same high school and have been best friends their entire lives. In a report by Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette after the 2009 NFL Draft, he chronicles the duos path from high school to both being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round. Although the Steelers did not make the playoffs in 2009, Mike Wallace made an immediate impact as a rookie compiling 39 receptions for 756 yards and six touchdowns. As the Steelers’ third receiver, Wallace very quickly became known around the league for his blazing speed and he averaged 19.4 yards per reception his rookie year. In his second season Mike Wallace became a starter for the Steelers and he produced his best year as a pro to this point in his career with 60 receptions for 1257 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 21 yards per catch. Last season, Wallace paired with Antonio Brown to give the Steelers one of the best receiving...

Steelers’ “Young Money Crew” Needs a Credit Check

I find it almost humorous how quickly articles can change in my mind through the course of a Pittsburgh Steelers’ football game. There were so many things to be critical of as the game wore on yesterday as the Steelers seemed headed for a third straight loss. Despite the fact they won yesterday, I can’t sit here today and wax poetically about everything I saw. In my mind, Mike...

Ben Roethlisberger “Has A Chance” To Return In Week 14

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger “has a chance” to play against the Chargers in Week 14. Roethlisberger has been reportedly cleared by doctors, so it’s really a matter of whether or not Ben is able to show the coaching staff that’s capable of playing close to his previous level. Charlie Batch stepped in and surprisingly came away...

Charlie Batch Passes to End Zone Microphone Guy (Video)

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Charlie Batch was pretty accurate on Sunday completing 25/36 passes for 276 yards, but this was the one that got away.  His great white buffalo you might say.  Mike Wallace somehow found himself wide open in the end zone, but Batch over threw him by a mile and hit the End Zone guys microphone and broke off the center piece.  Haha, good stuff Charlie.  It...

Steelers hanging around behind resurgent Batch

The Pittsburgh Steelers probably won't win the AFC North. That doesn't mean they're ready to cede the spotlight just yet. The Steelers rallied to a 23-20 victory over the rival Baltimore Ravens on Sunday to snap a two-game losing streak and keep them in the thick of the AFC playoff picture. It's a victory few outside the locker room saw coming, one led by a bunch...

Breaking Down The Ed Reed 4th Quarter Interception Against The Steelers

One of the key plays that went in favor of the Baltimore Ravens in their 23-20 loss Sunday to the Pittsburgh Steelers was the fourth quarter interception by safety Ed Reed of the pass from Charlie Batch that was intended for Heath Miller in the end zone. There has been a lot of talk about the play since Phil Simms said that wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders should have kept going...

Ben Roethlisberger To Start Sunday?

According to Mark Kaloby, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will start Sunday against the Chargers. “@nascar19661: What’s the word on Big Ben.” He is going to play — Mark Kaboly (@MarkKaboly_Trib) December 5, 2012 It hasn’t been announced what Roethlisberger’s practice status was, but it’s assumed that he was at least limited. If he was a full participate in practice...

Steelers Versus Ravens Game Rewind – First Half Notes – Week 13

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat to the Baltimore Ravens 23-20  Sunday and below are my first half notes from the game with the second half notes to follow soon. A really great effort by Ike Taylor on the first deep ball to Torrey Smith. Smith should have still come down with the ball, but Taylor hung with him and pulled the arms away. That was the second play of the game and the last...

Batch earns Steelers' confidence in win

Pittsburgh could get Ben Roethlisberger back this week for a home game against the San Diego Chargers, but the Steelers have confidence in Charlie Batch if he cannot go because of his shoulder and rib injuries. Batch had his best performance in a Steelers uniform when he completed 25 of 36 passes for 276 yards in a 23-20 victory over Baltimore, including rallying the Steelers...

Jonathan Dwyer To Remain Pittsburgh's Starter

Steelers running back Jonathan Dwyer will continue as the team's starter in Week 14, according to coach Mike Tomlin. He totaled 49 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries against Baltimore.Fantasy Spin:The muddled Pittsburgh backfield is getting a bit clearer with Rashard Mendenhall being a healthy scratch in Week 13. Isaac Redman, who received nine rushing attempts last weekend...

Steelers Open As 7 Point Favorites Over Chargers & Game Will Be CBS Early Marquee Matchup

It took a few more days than normal, but thanks to the news on Wednesday that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will more than likely start Sunday against the San Diego Chargers at Heinz Field, the home team has now been installed as a 7 point favorite on even money. It was also made known on Monday that CBS will have the Steelers/Chargers game as the early marquee...

Fantasy Football News – Big Ben Ready For Week 14 Return?

Fantasy Football News - According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazzette (which is not an official source, so keep your cool Roethlisberger owners), Ben is expected to start in week 14 versus the San Diego Chargers. Mike Tomlin later said that Ben will be given an opportunity in practice to prove he is healthy. I believe Mike, and we should all keep an eye on the reports starting with Wednesday’s...

QUICK Spin: Big Ben Back vs. Chargers

The Steelers are expecting their star QB back against the Chargers for Week 14. None too soon for the receivers who have struggled to post legitimate numbers without Big Ben at the helm.
