Two former NFL first-round draft picks have been arrested in Miami, Florida by the FBI. The two players arrested were charged with identity theft charges with intent to file false tax returns. DT William Joseph and RB Michael Bennett were the two players arrested. A third player was also arrested, Louis Gachelin, the half-brother of current Denver Broncos player Elvis Dumervil. Joseph is a former University of Miami player who was drafted in 2003 by the New York Giants. Bennett was drafted in the first-round in 2001 by the Minnesota Vikings and spent time in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders. The defendants in the case are charged with trying to cash $500,000 dollars worth of fraudulently obtained tax refund checks according to the Miami Herald.
