Denver Broncos defensive tackle Ty Warren looks on during the team's practice at the Broncos headquarters in Englewood, Colo., on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011. (Denver Post/David Zalubowski) The Denver Broncos and presumed starting defensive tackle Ty Warren aren’t seeing eye-to-eye. Warren signed a two-year deal with the Broncos as a free agent in 2011 after missing 2010 with a hip injury. A torn triceps in training camp left the Broncos without Warren in 2011. He’s the presumed starting nose tackle heading into 2012, but relying on a defensive lineman on the wrong side of 30 who hasn’t played a snap in two years is like putting all your money on a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest. The Broncos would like to halve that risk. So, the Broncos approached Warren about reducing his pay from the $4 million owed him in 2012 to less than $2 million, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports. According to Klis, Warren balked at the idea. But here’s the catch: they approached DT Kevin Vikce...

Broncos’ Ty Warren refusing to take pay cut

Recently, the Broncos approach two defensive linemen — Kevin Vickerson and Ty Warren — about accepting a pay cut. Vickerson promptly complied, slashing his 2012 salary from $2.125 million to $1.2 million, ultimately saving himself from the chopping block. Warren, on the other hand, hasn’t been so cooperative. The Denver Post reports the Broncos would like to reduce Warren...

Ty Warren unwilling to take a pay cut from the Broncos

Photo by the Denver Post According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Denver Broncos defensive tackle Ty Warren is unwilling to take a pay cut and accept around $1.5 million this season opposed to the $4 million he’s scheduled to make. Warren is 31 years-old and has been riddled with injuries over the past two seasons.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up getting released at some point.

Broncos’ Brock Osweiler victim of unfair stereotype

Who says that a tall quarterback can’t be successful in the NFL? It seems to go against logic that having height like the Denver Broncos’ Brock Osweiler would be a detriment to his success as a quarterback. Osweiler is 6’7” which makes it much easier for him to see over the defense compared to the average quarterback who normally stands about 6’2”. On top of that, he...

Ty Warren was asked to lower his salary, but has...

Bolden ready to go after ACL tear

Denver Broncos rookie Omar Bolden considers himself a budding cornerback and CEO. To think, an injury on the field led him to become an inspirational entrepreneur off it. Bolden tore the ACL in his left knee during spring practice at Arizona State in 2011. There went another season. Usually such an affable and upbeat person, Bolden slipped into a funk over the prospect of sitting...

Manning Hype Setting up Denver Broncos for a Letdown

I have a question for you: How many games would you predict the Denver Broncos to win this year if Matt Ryan was their quarterback?  You could argue that Ryan played on a more talented team last season than the Denver Broncos, yet went one and done in the postseason tourney. Why Matt Ryan, you [...]

The Denver Broncos still plan on running an option offense. Only, this version centers on giving Peyton Manning the option of calling anything he wants.
