It's a tale as old as time...or at least as old as sports movies. The plucky upstart kids travel north to take on the heavy favorite, show a lot of guts, hang around for a while, then get trampled in the end. It's what happened last December when UCLA won the Pac 12 South with a 6-6 record and traveled to Eugene for the inaugural Pac 12 Championship Game, only to get taken behind a barn and whooped 49-31. But don't rush for the exits yet kids...we still need to steal one player from a rival team, throw in a couple training montages, kiss the girl we had a crush on, and face off in the climactic rematch so good can triumph over evil. Just like Hickory High, the Mighty Ducks, and the Little Giants before them, the UCLA Bruins got their chance Saturday night and shocked the world, defeating the heavily favored Oregon Ducks 21-20. At least according to the AP and over 900 of their affiliate sites, which published recaps of the game all over the internet Monday. ...
