Jonathan Ogden, one of the top offensive linemen to play at UCLA, has been selected for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. Ogden was a four-year starter for the Bruins and won the Outland Trophy as the nations top lineman in 1995. He spent 12 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and was named to the Pro Bowl nine times. Ogden was drafted fourth overall by the Ravens in 1996 and was the centerpiece of an era where UCLA developed top offensive linemen. The Bruins had six offensive linemen drafted between 1994-1999. They have none taken since Kris Farris was taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1999. Receiver Art Monk of Syracuse, tight end Dave Casper of Notre Dame, quarterback Ty Detmer of BYU and former coaches Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee, Jimmy Johnson of Miami and Oklahoma State, and R.C. Slocum of Texas A&M also were selected. The other players who will be inducted by the National Football Foundation into the hall in December are: Running backs Charles Alexander of LSU and Otis Armstrong of Purdue; quarterbacks Steve Bartkowski of California and Tommy Kramer of Rice; defensive backs Scott Thomas of Air Force and Greg Myers of Colorado State; split end Hal Bedsole of USC; defensive end Gabe Rivera of Texas Tech; linebacker Mark Simoneau of Kansas State; and guard John Wooten of Colorado. --Chris Foster
