Cory Ross figures he's done his part.
Whether his two productive seasons in the United Football League are enough to interest some National Football League team remain to be seen. But at least the 28-year-old running back, who was named the UFL's Offensive Most Valuable Player of the Year on Tuesday, can rest easy knowing he accomplished what he set out to do.
"During the season, I never look at the stat sheet,'' he said. "I'm just concerned about winning. The other day, after I got home, I took a look and realized that I had accomplished some things.
"I showed I could come out of the backfield and catch the ball. I showed I could carry the load as a back, and even though I took a beating, I came out healthy. I think I showed the league that I'm trying to get back to that I am a running back, and I can do it against good competition.'' Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
