The Nighthawks (2-0) will look to remain in first place by themselves when they travel to face the Las Vegas Locomotives (1-1). A win would allow Omaha some distance between itself and the rest of the league, while a loss would bring the Nighthawks back to the UFL pack.
Omaha has been led in the first two games by the heroics of quarterback Jeff Garcia, whose thrown two fourth-quarter, game-winning touchdown passes. Garcia's favorite target so far has been wide receiver Robert Ferguson, who has 11 catches for 139 yards and a touchdown in the last six quarters.
Defensively, the Nighthawks have bolstered their defensive line with the acquisition of 2010 UFL No. 1 overall draft pick Dewayne White at defensive end. White, a seven-year National Football League veteran, has 27 sacks in his professional career.
