Houston Texans’ Brian Cushing’s rehab is ahead of schedule
in his return from a torn ACL, and the linebacker told Nick Scurfield of
HoustonTexans.com that he is “about a week out from jogging right now.”
#TexansRadio @briancushing56 (ACL): "I’m about a week out of jogging right now. Really looking forward to that."— Nick Scurfield (@NickScurfield) February 19, 2013
Cushing: "It’s been a long, long journey & I still have a lot to go, but it just makes me cherish playing that much more." #TexansRadio— Nick Scurfield (@NickScurfield) February 19, 2013
Cushing added that he’s “really looking forward” to being
able to run again. It’s been a “long, long journey” for him, and he still has a
“lot to go,” but Cushing said the injury and corresponding recover process “just
makes me cherish playing that much more.”
Cushing sustained his injury in October and underwent surgery
a few weeks later. If he continues on his current recovery path, he could be
ready to start the season with the Texans.
