The Philadelphia Eagles are nowhere close to postseason contention, and Michael Vick could be in his final days with the team. However, the quarterback vows to give his all in Sunday's season-ending game against the New York Giants as a tribute to his coach. Vick will be back in the starting lineup for the first time since he sustained a concussion in the Eagles' Nov. 11 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. "I came in with Coach (Andy) Reid being my coach," Vick told the Birds 24/7 website. "It's our last game in our 2012 season, and I would much rather be out there. I want to get a win for Coach Reid, and I think my teammates will rally around that. It's our own little Super Bowl in our own right." When Vick emerged from prison after his dogfighting conviction, the Eagles took a chance on him. Vick made one start for Philadelphia in 2009 while playing behind Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb, then moved into the starting role in 2010. Now he's out to prove to the Eagles -- or another team -- that he can still be a viable starter in 2013. "I think that's big to go out and show I'm back, I'm strong, I'm healed and I'm healthy, and that regardless of the circumstances I'm willing to fight for my football team," he told Birds 24/7. "It's been a rough year, and I appreciate everything that's happened. Regardless of what the outcome could be, it's important for us to finish strong." Both Vick and Reid could be on their way out of Philadelphia. The Eagles head into the finale with a 4-11 record, which in part prompted Nick Foles' lengthy look at quarterback after Vick was injured. Foles sustained a broken bone in his right hand in last week's game, ending his season. In his seven games (counting the game in which he replaced Vick), the rookie out of Arizona completed 60.8 percent of his passes, threw six touchdown passes and five interceptions, and led the team to a 1-6 record. The Eagles went 3-5 to start the season with Vick at quarterback. The 32-year-old veteran has a 58.5 percent completion rate, and he's thrown 11 touchdown passes and nine interceptions. He was cleared to play last week, but Foles remained the starter.
