Michael Vick's numbers over the past two games may not be spectacular, but he has lead the Eagles to 2 straight wins and a spot back in the playoff race.
According to ProFootballTalk.com, Vick is doing this all despite the Eagles hesitation to let him suit up against Miami.
Per a league source, Vick insisted on receiving painkilling injections last week and this week, so that he could play despite lingering broken ribs. Previously, the team resisted allowing him to receive shots, due to concerns about his past effectiveness while playing with numbing agents coursing through his veins.
Obviously the team has to put the players best interest first, and if the Eagles felt that Vick could have injured himself further by going out there then they obviously would not have let him play.
But the report seems to infer that the team was hesitant to let Vick back in the lineup due to his play when he has been injured. It's hard to blame them as Vick was awful against Arizona, the g...
