The last time the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers faced off earlier in the season, 49ers cornerback Carlos Roger stepped in front of an Eli Manning pass that was intended for wide receiver Victor Cruz, and intercepted the pass.
After the play ended Rogers got up from the ground and did Cruz’s salsa dance that he typically does after scoring a touchdown.
“It was a little bit of disrespect,” Cruz said when asked on Wednesday. “I understand it was something I do and to do it on me and do it front of our sideline, it was a little disrespectful. But I understand that, it’s all part of the game. Things happen and guys are going to do that. He wasn’t the only one to mock that dance throughout the season.”
Cruz was asked if he owes Rogers for mocking his dance. He said the media can answer that, but didn’t deny that it was an opportunity to get revenge.
