Arizona Cardinals cornerback/playmaker Patrick Peterson consistently pushes the envelope of his abilities. The All-Pro recently was filmed  performing an extreme uphill workout that will bring out the best of anyone that is looking to get a leg up on their competition. Of the natural setting, Peterson told that he finds inner peace in the outdoor environment. “I can come out here and be peaceful and get away from different athletes. I can work on my craft on my own. It’s like my own laboratory,” Peterson said. He went on to state that his method is a part of his quest to be the best of the best. “I set my goals out very high and I expect to achieve them,” Peterson said. “I don’t just want to be a great cornerback. I want to be the best cornerback to ever play the game. I know that’s a very broad statement and that a lot of guys have that attitude, but I’m going after it.” Think that you can keep up with him? Andre Ellington is a very solid fantasy football pick up in week 6

Andre Ellington’s skill set is different from other’s in the NFL.  The former Clemson Tiger was a terror in college, but had a poor pro-day which eventually cost him his draft fall. He has great explosion but doesn’t have as much power as some backs in the NFL.  He’s a smaller back — he stands […]

Arizona Cardinals defense led by offseason acquisitions

The Arizona Cardinals had only seven sacks coming into last weekend. A dismal start to the season left fans wondering which Cardinals team would show up, but by recording seven sacks, Karlos Dansby and the Arizona Cardinals defense did something they haven’t done in over 26 years. The last time the Cardinals recorded seven sacks they still played in St. Louis, and they did it...

Arians blasts NFL for 'Hard Knocks'

The NFL secured the future of HBO's "Hard Knocks" this week, reserving the right to "compel" teams to participate. There was expected to be some pushback against the new directive, and Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is leading the charge. Arians, who is in his first year with the Cardinals, isn't the type to want his team's laundry aired out in...

Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians says he wants nothing to do with Hard Knocks

Yesterday the NFL passed the rule saying that if a team would not volunteer to participate with the HBO series Hard Knocks, the NFL would intervene and force the team to do it. While that probably sounded great at the time, but Cardinals Bruce Arians is not having it.  In an interview with XM radio, […]

Arians says he 'loves' Arizona's defensive image

Bruce Arians has 21 years of experience as an offensive coach in the NFL, yet his Arizona Cardinals are developing an image as a team that thrives on its defense. The offense? Well, it still needs some work. The Cardinals stifled the Carolina Panthers with a dominating second half in a 22-6 victory on Sunday. The Panthers' Cam Newton was sacked a career-worst seven times and...

Cardinals rewind: What a day for the D

Just before the 1980s era Chicago Bears became a Super Bowl contender, there were stories of the Buddy Ryan-led defense abusing the offense -- physically and verbally -- for its ineptitude. We're not suggesting the Cardinals defense follow the same path, but really, what could it hurt? General manager Steve Keim, coach Bruce Arians and his staff have tried everything else to...

Arizona Cardinals: 2013 Week 6 NFL Power Rankings (#20)

Last week: 20 (+0) Record: 3-2 The Cardinals are 3-2 right now. That isn’t a huge shock. They had an over/under for their win total of 5.5 and teams with totals under 6 hit the over about 2/3rds of the time (Oakland and Jacksonville also had totals under 6 this year). A lot of times, bad teams are better than people think and I think the Cardinals have proved that. That being said...

Bruce Arians Will Fight ‘Hard Knocks’ If NFL Tries to Force it on Cardinals, Calls It ‘Embarrassment’

The NFL secured the future of HBO’s Hard Knocks on Tuesday, reserving the right to “compel” teams to participate. There was expected to be some push back against the new directive, and Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is leading the charge. Arians, who is in his first year with the Cardinals, isn’t the type to want his team’s laundry aired out in the open, and he...

Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers: Three Bold Predictions

If you are looking at the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals from the 49ers perspective, this is a week to truly make a statement about the franchise. Had someone said this would be a 3-2 team after week five in the NFL season following a Super Bowl appearance, many would have laughed loudly. The season has not been kind of the NFC team and now they face...

Cardinals-49ers Preview

Though strong defensive performances have helped guide San Francisco and Arizona to some success over the past two weeks, the 49ers' offense has picked up steam while the Cardinals' unit remains a work in progress under first-year coach Bruce Arians. The 49ers look for a fifth consecutive home victory over the Cardinals on Sunday in matchup of NFC West foes each trying for...
