Broncos offensive lineman Chris Kuper suffered a rather nasty ankle injury early in Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs, and trust me when I say this, it is one of the  more gruesome injuries you’ll ever see.  As you can tell by the picture, Kuper’s foot ends up facing east/west following the play, when it should be facing north/south, and basic anatomy tells us that just ain’t right.

Here’s video of Kuper immediately after he’s injured.  Pay close attention to the reaction of teammates Willis McGahee and Tim Tebow when they catch a glimpse of Kuper’s messed-up ankle.  It’s priceless.

Ugh.  That rates at least an eight on the “Joe Theismann Horrific Injury Scale.”
