New video has surfaced today on TMZ that shows former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward in the back of a police car following his DUI arrest last Summer and the conversation between him and the police officer is clearly audible. Here's one highlight video that Hines Ward wouldn't like the world to see. No, it isn't a dropped pass or a missed block -- it's of his DUI arrest last summer. After he failed a field sobriety...

Quiet Day One Of Free Agency For Steelers As Expected

As expected, the Pittsburgh Steelers made no waves on day one of the 2012 NFL free agency period as they sat on sidelines with limited cap space and carefully monitored the situation with restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace. There were numerous rumors that surfaced on Tuesday that claimed Wallace was flying to California to meet with the San Francisco 49ers, but those...

Report: Mike Tomlin & Kevin Colbert All Over Michigan State FS Trent Robinson At Pro Day

Not only did Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin seem interested in Michigan Sate quarterback Kirk Cousins while attending in town for the MSU pro day, but Tony Pauline reports today via Twitter that both Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert were all over safety Trent Robinson on Wednesday as well. Of course we will have to wait and see if Pauline expands on that in his...

The Steelers know what they’re doing with Foster, Legursky, and Mundy.

Nobody is surprised that Mike Wallace received a first round offer from the Steelers. The fact that Doug Legursky, Ramon Foster, and Ryan Mundy received draft round offers though (along with Keenan Lewis & David Johnson) shouldn’t be a total shock either. It’s not a reflection on their importance to the team, but rather a business decision in the cut throat industry that...

Why the Steelers should keep Rashard Mendenhall

Despite recent speculation and a continued lack of respect from the fans, the Pittsburgh Steelers should keep Rashard Mendenhall for the 2012-13 season. One of the main reasons the possibility of Mendenhall leaving is even being mentioned is because people are mistaking the Steelers for other organizations. Unlike other teams in the NFL, or professional

2012 Steelers Roster Position Highlight: Tight End

By Christopher DiMarino The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a bit of a precarious situation regarding the tight end position. The 2012 season was big year for tight ends around the league. New records were set and the position saw heavy involvement in effective passing attacks. For the Steelers, it was a very average year for tight ends. The Steelers got a great player when they drafted...

Steelers leave Offensive Line very vulnerable with RFA Tenders

The Steelers have not released the terms of the RFA Tenders yet but indications point to the Steelers giving everyone but Wallace the lowest tender.  That means they would get a pick from the original draft round that the player was chosen in.  The Steelers were cap strapped and did not have much money to give out so they went with what they thought they could afford. That leaves...

Steelers Rewind – Looking Back At February & March 2000

By Christina Rivers "Whoever wishes to foresee the future must consult the past; for human events ever resemble those of preceding times. This arises from the fact that they are produced by men who ever have been, and ever shall be, animated by the same passions, and thus they necessarily have the same results." - Machiavelli Whether Machiavelli was correct in his thinking...

Niners signing of Moss may signal no desire for Wallace

Late last evening the San Francisco 49ers signed wide receiver Randy Moss to a one year deal. Why is this big news at site devoted to the Pittsburgh Steelers? Because it raises a couple of very potential flags which could be positive should you be in the “We have to keep Mike Wallace” camp. By signing Moss, the 49ers are for all intents and purposes removing themselves as one...
