Most of you have probably already seen this, but if you haven't hear you go.

The heat is intensifying on the NFL and its replacement officials. Last night's flub on nationally-televised Monday Night Football won't help their cause either. In fact, the controversial call may even be the final straw for the 'scab zebras'.

With the Seattle Seahawks trailing 12-7 with eight seconds remaining in the game, Seahawks quarterback heaves a prayer toward the endzone in one final attempt to win the game. A handful of players converge under the ball, but ultimately Green Bay Packers safety M.D. Jennings appears to wrestle the ball away for the interception. Thus giving Green Bay a narrow victory, right? Wrong.

The two officials standing over the pile each give a different call. One gives the correct signal of time expiring (interception and touchback), the other a touchdown. For reasons unknown to myself, the touchdown call won out.

Since it was within the last two minutes, the play was automatically reviewed, but it still wasn't reversed. After the long delay, Seattle booted a meaningless extra point to seal a 14-12 win. The backlash on Twitter and other media outlets has been crazy since the play.

May this finally be the end of the replacement officials. Keep your fingers crossed.
