PLAYERS: Peyton Manning
TEAMS: Denver Broncos

Before Peyton Manning led the Broncos’ comeback on Monday Night Football, he had to provide us with some comic relief.

If I had four neck surgeries, I probably wouldn’t be too keen about throwing my body in front of linebackers blocking on a Pick 6.

Let’s be honest, Peyton Manning isn’t never going to be Peyton Manning of old, but you know who he reminds me of?

Muhammad Ali.

Ali was banned from Boxing for three years and was never the same after that, but he was still smarter than most of the fighters he got into the ring with.

Plus, his heart and desire to win was at such a high level, even though the physical skills were eroding, he was still able to beat fighters he really shouldn’t have.

So, Peyton will Rope-a-Dope us and just when you least expected that straight left and straight right will come quick and another team will be KOed.

Manning still crossing paths with Chargers

Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf? It was the big question going into the 1998 draft and one that was quickly answered that fall. John Elway Was Right: Peyton Manning Is Back

It's a passing league - no secret to anyone. But the Broncos may have been onto something last year.  While teams shift to passing offenses, the Broncos could have doubled down on being a power run team and been competitive.  Defenses are being built to stop passing attacks, not the University of Nebraska rushing attack of the 80s. While I think some team will eventually...
