Now that the replacement refs are cruising through the wants ads looking for a Pop Warner team to put the screws to, some truth is coming to light.

Replacement referee Wayne Elliott has stuck to his story that the touchdown call at the end of the Seattle Seahawks victory over the Green Bay Packers was the right call.

Now a little over a week later, he’s backing off that stance once he was scrutinized during an interview with Cris Collinsworth and James Brown on Inside The NFL.

That admission is in the video below along with a lot of insight into what the fake zebras went through.

Seahawks reportedly concerned about Matt Flynn’s elbow

According to Dan Arkush of ProFootballWeekly.com, the Seatlte Seahawks are still concerned about the Matt Flynn’s elbow. One of the reasons it wouldn’t make sense to bench Russell Wilson in favor of Flynn if the Seahawks don’t improve, is that no one knows how his elbow will hold up. “The thing is, they’re giving Wilson the great majority of reps in practice, because they...

Super Bowl Revenge For The Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks Peck And Claw Back From An NFL Disgrace If there's a common truth for sports fans to embrace, it is this: THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS ARE DUE. Don't mistake Golden Tate catching the Green Bay Packer who caught the ball as any sort of payback. That's not even a decent start, not when titles come into play. With Super Bowl championships hanging in the balance...

Wagner not looking like rookie so far for Seattle

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By TIM BOOTH AP Sports Writer The question asked of Seattle coach Pete Carroll had nothing to do with Bobby Wagner. After the way Wagner has played in the first quarter of the season, Carroll made it a point to recognize how well his rookie middle linebacker is doing making the adjustment from college to the NFL. Through four games...

Rodgers on wearing visor: 'I would never'

GREEN BAY, Wis. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is not considering the possibility of wearing a shield or a visor on his facemask, even after the injury he suffered in Sunday's game. Midway through the third quarter of Green Bay's Week 4 win, New Orleans Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins was attempting to tackle Rodgers near the goal line when his finger violently poked the...

Saturday expects emotional return to Indy

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Jeff Saturday expects his return to Indianapolis on Sunday to be "awkward." Aaron Rodgers Enjoys Dressing Like a Pirate, Thinks Wearing an Eye Patch Would Be Awesome

A hook hand might cause problems for Aaron Rodgers, but an eye patch would just add to his arsenal. Rodgers was poked in the eye during Sunday's victory over the Saints. He was struck by safety Malcolm Jenkins, which drew a facemask penalty and temporarily affected the quarterback's vision. Fortunately for the Packers, Rodgers is going to be all right, although he doesn&...

Packers rule Jennings out against Colts

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings has been officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. During Green Bay's win over the New Orleans Saints last weekend, Jennings aggravated the groin injury he initially suffered in Week 1 and left the game early. Week 5 Fantasy Football: Top 3 Wide Receivers

Who will be the top fantasy football wide receivers in Week 5? Jordy Nelson - Green Bay Packers Mr. Nelson has disappointed a lot of fantasy owners this year, including myself.  Although I knew it would be near impossible for him to repeat last year's uh-mazing season that surprised everyone with 68 receptions, 1,263 receiving yards, and 15 touchdowns, I still had a strong feeling...

Saturday gearing up for 1st visit to Indianapolis

Hard as it is to believe, Jeff Saturday needs a visitor's guide to Indianapolis. Sure, he can give his Green Bay Packers teammates a list of restaurants to rival Zagat's after spending the first 13 seasons of his NFL career with the Colts. Have everyone over to his house if he wants. And he knows the way to Lucas Oil Stadium so well he could probably drive the team bus....

Week 5 preview: Carolina Panthers offense vs. Seattle Seahawks defense

The Carolina Panthers offense will be tested when they square off with the Seattle Seahawks and the NFL’s second-ranked defense at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday. Just how good has the Seahawks defense been this season?   Through four games, the Seahawks have only given up an average of 14.5 points per contest.
