Adrian Peterson has done plenty over the years for the Minnesota Vikings and he has never publicly balked at taking on even more responsibility.
How about special teams? Of course, he'd love to do that, too.
Peterson said Wednesday he has been lobbying to be on the field-goal block team. He also said he ''wouldn't mind getting back there'' as a kickoff returner, a role he held occasionally as a rookie but not since 2008.
Approval from coach Leslie Frazier is unlikely. But special teams coordinator Mike Priefer says there is ''absolutely an opportunity'' for Peterson to return a kickoff if the Vikings are searching for a spark in a desperation situation at the end of a game.

Packers vs. Vikings: Keys to a Green Bay Victory

For the last three years, I’ve always been confident whenever the Packers play because they had the best player on the field.
No matter who the Packers were playing, what the score was, or how slow the Packers started, I always felt good because I knew that Aaron Rodgers played for Green Bay and would probably find a way...

Will Packers blitz Christian Ponder?
Now that we’ve dissected the “Peterson Problem” here and here, it’s time to turn to the guy who really won the game last week for the Vikings: Christian Ponder. The Packers made a huge mistake by being passive and letting Ponder get comfortable. This was the exact opposite approach they took against Ponder in the first meeting of this...
