Mistral Raymond could return to action this Sunday in Seattle. The Vikings second-year safety has missed the past five-and-a-half games after dislocating his right ankle in a Sept. 23 win over San Francisco.
Raymond has been back practicing the past two weeks, participating mostly in individual work. This week, he will be integrated back into full-team activities, with the Vikings medical staff and coach Leslie Frazier closely monitoring his recovery.
We need to get him through an entire week of practice, Frazier said. Were going to give him a little bit more this week and then well make a decision later in the week. But all indications are that hes improved enough where he can go through everything in practice.
Frazier was non-committal on whether Raymond would immediately return to the starting lineup if he were cleared to play but has said in recent weeks that Raymond would become a starter again once hes 100 percent.
Hes missed a bunch of time, Frazier said, so we have to see him go through some things with his teammates before we put him out there. Source: Star Tribune Attached Thumbnails

What is this I don't even.
From the intel that I can gather, the above picture IS in fact Minnesota Vikings running back, Adrian Peterson, aka, Purple Jesus, apparently dressed up as the Incredible Hulk for a team Halloween party thrown Monday night.
Want to know the scariest thing about this outfit? He didn't even have to wear fake muscles!
Purple Jesus tweeted...
The Minnesota Vikings could have safety Mistral Raymond back in action this weekend, one step toward some depth in a secondary that's sure to be tested during the second half of the season.
''I'm healed and I'm available. To what extent and how much they want to use me, that's totally up to them,'' Raymond said. ''I'm just going to go...
The Minnesota Vikings had a Halloween party last night, and it was probably a nice way for them to have some fun after what had to be a disappointing night on Thursday in a loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Peterson tweeted a photo of his costume earlier today and it was impressive.Vikings Halloween Party last night! Hosted by Jared Allen I think or Kevin William anyway we...
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The Minnesota Vikings are well versed in handling injury situations in the defensive backfield and tried to improve the depth coming into this season. After losing cornerback Chris Cook to a broken arm last week, the depth will be tested.
Rookie Josh Robinson has spent much of his time as the team's third corner and A.J. Jefferson, acquired before the season...
For all intents and purposes it looks as if Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will live to fight another day.
As Philadelphia prepares to face another struggling group in the New Orleans Saints, coach Andy Reid certainly can’t handle trying to repair his suspect defense and work in a new signal caller in the same week.
There must be order and the Saints can without a doubt offensively...
Christian Ponder continues to regress. When the season started out it looked like the Vikings had a new and improved Christian Ponder, through the first six games of the year Ponder was completing 69 percent of his passes and had thrown only four interceptions. However, Ponder's previous two games, vs. the Cardinals and Buccaneers, he has only completed 52 percent of his passes...
Like many other squads, the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders donned pink garb to promote Breast Cancer Awareness earlier this month. And like many other squads they looked pretty fantastic doing so. Is anyone else surprised that the Vikings are having a good season? I kind of am.
Anyway, check out the ladies after the jump….
Thanks to the Vikings Cheerleaders Facebook page for the pics
The way Christian Ponder played last Thursday I would have drank myself into an oblivion as well. This guy unfortunately couldn’t make it to the bathroom. Vikings – great season – fans pissing their pants..
As has been evident that past five days or so, the last game the Minnesota Vikings played was certainly one for the urinal cakes. They got throttled by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on national television, and wasted a perfectly awesome Purple Jesus run for no good reason. If that doesn't piss you off, it should, and clearly, it "pissed" this following Vikings fan off, too...
The Sports Prophet has been near perfect over the past 2 weeks. Off to another great start in week 8 with the upset road win by the Tampa Bay Bucs over the Minnesota Vikings Thursday night. I'll say this about these upcoming games on Sunday...they're tough. Plenty of solid match ups on the schedule Sunday, so from a football perspective it doesn't get much better...
*PPPPPPPPPFFFFFTFTFTFTFTFTFFTFTFTTFTFTTFTTFBALLOONDEFLATINGSOUND* Well dudes, it was a good run. After taking the weekend to use my feather pillow and 750 thread count sheets to soak up all the flowing tears and other uncontrollable bodily fluids that come out of me after a Vikings loss, I think I'm prepared to discuss this game and make some general statements about the team...
A.J. Jefferson is likely to get extended playing time after the loss of Chris Cook, and Mistral Raymond should be available for the first time in six weeks. Jefferson, Antoine Winfield and Leslie Frazier talked about the changes to the secondary.
