Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams must be looking forward to that Jan. 2 rematch with the Lions after what went down in Sunday's 24-10 win.
The game got chippy. Both teams were hit with unnecessary roughness penalties after a scuffle in the third quarter that could result in some fines on Friday.
After speaking with Sirius NFL Radio with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan, Williams said the Lions -- winners of three games in the last 43 tries -- got a little overzealous at the line of scrimmage.
"They were trying to play us tough," said Williams, according to the Detroit News. "They basically tried to cheap-shot us. They use hands to the face and were pulling us down.
