There’s been a lot of talk in recent weeks that Vikings WR Percy Harvin could be moved during the offseason given that he’s reportedly had multiple conflicts with head coach Leslie Frazier. Harvin is obviously looking for a long-term contract extension, considering that he will be entering the final year of his rookie deal next season.
Despite these issues, Frazier expects to have Harvin back next season.
“I don’t see any reason why Percy wouldn’t be back with us,” said Frazier, via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “He should be.”
It’s certainly would not be out of the question to suggest that Harvin could consider a holdout at some point in the coming months. If Minnesota is reluctant to commit big money to a player that they’ve already had some issues with, then there’s at least a chance that they could begin to shop him around the league to see what they could get in return. Previous speculation has suggested that the Vikings could get a second-round pick in return for him, but there’s always a chance that a team could offer up an even better package for him.
Harvin figures to be a hot topic during the offseason.
