EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Percy Harvin wasn't on the field for the open portion of the Minnesota Vikings' practice on Friday, likely meaning the team's leading receiver could miss his third straight game. Harvin, who leads the team with 62 catches and 677 receiving yards and is the NFL's leading kickoff returner with a 35.9-yard average, returned to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday for the first time since spraining his ankle on Nov. 4. But he was held out Thursday and wasn't at the start of Friday's practice. Minnesota coach Leslie Frazier said Harvin would likely have to practice Friday in order to be active for Sunday's game at Green Bay. Frazier wanted the chance to gauge how Harvin was progressing from the ankle he sprained in the Week 9 game at Seattle and if Harvin would be able to do enough, and protect himself, in order to be active this week. "The treatment and how he feels after we get done today will give a better indication of what we can get out of him tomorrow and if we have a chance for Sunday," Frazier said Thursday. "Hopefully he can do more tomorrow. I'm hoping, but we'll see." Frazier has remained cautious throughout in dealing with Harvin's recovery. "Kind of holding out," Frazier said. "Don't want to get too high or too low. It would be a big boost to us to have him, but we have to see how he does tomorrow." Follow Brian Hall onTwitter.
