The Minnesota Vikings have downgraded wide receiver Percy
Harvin to out and he will miss his third straight game today when his team
takes on the Green Bay Packers, reports Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500.
The Minnesota Vikings downgraded their top receiver from
doubtful to out on Saturday, leaving Harvin at home while they travel for
Sunday's game at Green Bay.
Harvin has been sidelined since Nov. 4 when he sustained a
sprained ankle during a contest against the Seattle Seahawks. He was able to
test his ankle Wednesday at practice, but coach Leslie Frazier confirmed the
wide receiver continued struggling with pushing off and changing direction.
Harvin went on to miss Vikings’ practice the remainder of the week.
Frazier has said that Harvin didn’t suffer a setback earlier
this week, but instead hasn’t progressed as the team had been hoping. When he
has been healthy enough to play this season, the wide receiver has totaled 773
yards combined rushing and receiving and five touchdowns.
