Minnesota Vikings backup quarterback Joe Webb will be returning to the position that he was drafted as - wide receiver. The move was announced after the Vikings picked up former Patriots and Chiefs QB Matt Cassel, according to Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “We had been talking about it for a while, and we made the decision that this was the way to go after we had our draft,” coach Leslie Frazier said. Webb looks to be a much busier man in 2013. He'll also contribute on special teams, the team said. “It’s going to be very interesting,” Webb said. “I haven’t played it since my rookie minicamp, but I think I can adjust to it pretty good. You just have to put in a lot of work. [Receivers coach George Stewart] will do a lot of that with me, so we’ll see what happens.” In college and the pros, Webb has caught 33 total passes for 480 yards and four touchdowns.
