The Minnesota Vikings now are faced with yet another obstacle to overcome this season, it was confirmed this afternoon from Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune that CB Cedric Griffin will be lost for the season with a torn ACL. Griffin will be missed at the cornerback position, he played the entire season last year for the Vikings and will now likely be replaced by veteran CB Lito Sheppard.

The hits just keep on coming for the Minnesota Vikings and with the talented wide receivers of the Dallas Cowboys coming into the Metrodome in a must win situation for both teams, this Sunday’s game will have the aura of a playoff game surrounding it. The loser of this weeks game will be in a hole in the NFC they might not recover. Of course the Vikings will be working on a short week.
