Leslie Frazier stated that the Vikings have placed OT Scott Kooistra on Injured Reserve. Kooistra injured his neck against Seattle on Saturday. Frazier states he’s not sure whether it’s a career ending injury or not.
Kooistra started at RG in the game at Seattle and actually played decently well. This is the first significant injury of the season for the Vikings.
Other injury news for the Vikings:
-WR Percy Harvin, TE Visanthe Shiancoe, LB Kenny Onatolu, LB Heath Farewell, DE D’Aundre Reed, and WR Greg Camarillo all returned to practice Monday.
-DT Kevin Williams sat out practice with foot injury. Frazier stated the foot has been bothering Kevin and he will see a foot specialist to see what they say about it. Hopefully positive news will come back after Williams visits the doctor.
-LB Kenny Onatolu, LB Heath Farewell, DE D’Aundre Reed, and WR Greg Camarillo all returned to practice Monday also.
-RB Toby Gerhart(ankle), LB Ross Homan(concussion), LB Mark Washington(shoulder), CB Asher Allen(toe), FB Matt Asiata(hip), and DB Simeon Castille(hamstring) all sat out practice.
