Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Alan Williams is being questioned for his conservative strategy late in Sunday’s 27-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Williams dropped a defender into coverage while having only three pass rushers attack Dallas quarterback Tony Romo, whom was pressured by the Vikings for most of the day. Romo dissected Minnesota’s defense on a nine-play, 90-yard drive that ended with a 7-yard touchdown pass to Dwayne Harris with 35 seconds left in the game. “We were putting heat on him the whole day,” defensive linemen Brian Robison said to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. “We had (three) sacks today. That’s a pretty dang good day and then all of a sudden we get a drive, we’re going to rush three guys and we don’t get to him. You’ve got five

  • Both the offense and the defense played better this game, but the decision to try and pull Dallas offside in that last 4th down was a stupid and colossal failure. Let the play clock run out, hand Dallas an additional 5 yards, and then not call a time out after the big pass play that followed. This was a clear coaching failure. As is two humiliating losing seasons in 3 years. Frazier has to go.
  • All of the coaches have to go. We have the talent. If you don't believe coaching can turn things around, look at Kansas City! Again, we pay for the whole thing, almost, so why do they tell us essentially to shove it? It's just too crazy to keep up with. Were I Adrian, Allen, Rudolph, and others, I would be questioning why they are letting my football career go down the drain.

Adrian Peterson cannot be stopped on powerful touchdown run (GIF)

Adrian Peterson scored on a touchdown run Sunday that will earn a permanent place on his career highlight reel. The Minnesota Vikings were down 20-17 to the Dallas Cowboys with six minutes left in the game. They had the ball on the 11 and 4th-and-inches and did what any sane coach would do — hand […]

Vikings DC defends late-game strategy on losing drive

Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Alan Williams said he understands defensive lineman Brian Robinson and Kevin Williams frustration over conservative play calling during the team’s 27-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. “I don’t take that in a negative way at all. Our guys are competitive. They put a lot of work in. Good players, they want to know why,” Williams...

Adrian Peterson Goes Beast Mode Carrying Guys into the End Zone!

Adrian Peterson is the best running back in the NFL. There is no questioning that; it's just a shame that he is stuck on a team that is not likely going to go anywhere anytime soon (deja vu Barry Sanders). That doesn't mean he isn't going to try and do his best to carry the team and anyone else that wants to go for a ride. he did Sunday against the Cowboys...

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson carried the Dallas Cowboys on his back for a touchdown on Sunday. Here's a GIF of him in beast mode.

I often Ponder in Minnesota

The Vikings have added a ton around him so there are no more excuses for Christian Ponder. It is time to show everyone in the league, why Minnesota drafted you at the 12 spot in 1st round. This is the crucial 3rd year, the typical year for QB’s to become men among the boys, and to show their worth on the field as leaders and warriors for their team. Greg Jennings was a great pickup...

GIF: Jared Allen laughs at Dez Bryant for unsportsmanlike penalty

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant threw a small tantrum against Minnesota, and Vikings defensive end Jared Allen laughed in his face.

Cowboys Escape in Dallas

The Vikings-Cowboys game on Sunday was more reminiscent of the first three games of the season, where the Vikings were competitive, but the defense could not make stops when it needed to in the 4th quarter. These type of games, although frustrating, are much more entertaining to watch than the previous three where the Vikings were simply dominated from start to finish. At the end...

Fake Football, Real Questions (November 2nd Edition)

Adrian Peterson hasn’t exceeded 13 carries or 62 yards in the past 3 weeks. Is it time to be a little bit concerned? If the season ended today, would he still be your number one pick in next year’s draft?   Kevin Roberts I think it’s obvious owners need to be concerned. With no threat in the passing game, Peterson has become fairly easy to stop. With that said, the run...

Vikings record-seekers vs. Cowboys

Adrian Peterson’s big day moved him up the NFL and franchise record charts. Christian Ponder, Chad Greenway, Brian Robison and Cordarrelle Patterson also had note-worthy achievements.

Vikings can't come up big late in 'Big D'

Two years ago, the Minnesota Vikings challenged the team record for futility in a 16-game season, ultimately equaling the mark set in in 1984 at 3-13. Eight games into this season, this year's team is doing something neither the 1984 or 2011 teams did. With a 27-23 loss at Dallas on Sunday, Minnesota equaled the worst start in franchise history, tying the 1-7 start from the...

As losses pile up, so does frustration for Vikings

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says he plans to talk to the team on Monday amid mounting frustration after a fourth straight loss. Several veterans, including Kevin Williams and Brian Robison, criticized the offensive and defensive coordinators after the Vikings lost 27-23 at Dallas on Sunday. It was the most overt sign yet that seven losses in eight games to start the season is starting...

Vikings TE hurts foot on touchdown, questionable to return

Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph injured his foot while scoring a touchdown against the Cowboys on Sunday and is questionable to return. Rudolph caught a pass from Christian Ponder in the third quarter and barreled through a Dallas defender before eventually pushing his way into the end zone and scoring. He apparently injured himself on the play. The tight end entered the...
