The Vikings have released cornerback Cedric Griffin. The Vikings selected Griffin in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft out of Texas. Over the last six seasons, Griffin has started 70 of 80 games, totaling 377 tackles and eight interceptions. Griffin was signed through 2014 and was scheduled to earn $4.15 million in base salary and workout bonus. His release clears $3.65 million in cap space.
