"Ryan has meant a great deal to the Vikings organization both on and off the field over the past six seasons," head coach Leslie Frazier said in a statement. "We wish him all the best in the future and thank him for his service to the Minnesota Vikings." Longwell made 135 field goals with the Vikings, second in franchise history behind Fred Cox's 282. Longwell, who signed with Minnesota as a free agent in 2006, spent his first nine seasons with Green Bay and is the Packers' career scoring leader with 1,054 points. Longwell has played in 240 career games, 96 with the Vikings and 144 with the Packers. He has made 361 of 434 career field-goal attempts (83.2 percent) and 604 of 613 extra-point attempts.
