NFL Injury Report:
The Minnesota Vikings found themselves in a scary position
last night during what most teams hope to be a non-eventful final preseason
game. Instead, the Vikings had to watch offensive lineman Seth Olsen be
stretchered off the field after taking a knee to the helmet, according to the Associated Press.
It turns out that Olsen is OK, as he was later seen walking
around the locker room, smiling with his teammates. The lineman has been
diagnosed with a concussion, but he avoided a more serious head or neck injury.
"When those moments come and they bring that stretcher
out, you have no idea what is going on," Vikings coach Leslie Frazier
said. "We were just hoping for the best and fortunately things worked out
Olsen suffered the injury as he was blocking during a screen
pass. As he fell to the ground, his helmet hit linebacker Scott Solomon’s knee,
causing Olsen to immediately hit the ground. Upon inspecting Olsen, the team’s
trainer immediately called for a stretcher.
Olsen started four games for the Vikings last season. He’s
considered as a backup right guard for the team, and he was expected to enter
the season as a reserve lineman. It’s unclear how long he’ll be sidelined as a
result of the concussion.

Christian Ponder throwing against the Titans last season.
The (0-3) Minnesota Vikings take on the (1-2) Tennessee Titans Thursday night in Minneapolis. The Vikings look to get the offense in sync before the regular season gets under way. The team doesn’t necessarily care about winning the ball game, but this is a game that needs to be played at a regular season tempo.
Can Ponder Play?
Tonight, the Minnesota Vikings play their final preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. After what feels like four scores and three preseason games ago, this lazy debacle will finally wrap up so we can move on to the regular season games and some real NFL football. As a Vikings fan, when I say "real NFL football", I of course am referencing football...
By now you might have heard, Adrian Peterson the Minnesota running back his his eye set on a 2,500 yard season. The Vikings are going to need a solid performance out of their star player. Adrian Peterson, the reigning NFL MVP, will be the focal point of the Vikings, but the success of a team looking to “seize this moment” will go beyond Peterson. Here are five storylines to follow this year.
Vikings vs. Titans (@Vikings)
Most people don’t care about the fourth and final week of preseason games in the NFL. Starters rarely see the field and the game is all about a bunch of guys who might not play for anyone this season. But these are games where you can discover gems like Colin Kaepernick and Alfred Morris before the regular season begins. For me these are my favorite...

We Made It!
We did it! Sure, I mean we won our game last night versus the Titans, our first and only preseason win, but moreso I mean we finally made it! We survived all of the crap that people made us put up with during this preseason and ridiculous training camps and Joe Webb conversations and punching your eyeballs from watching Christian Ponder and oh god, it's over....
A year away from the game gave LB Desmond Bishop a new appreciation for his health. The last couple weeks of strong play have given him a new opportunity at a starting position.
