Fox Sports Florida:
For the first time since 2009, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have multiple representatives in the Pro Bowl, the NFL's annual version of an all-star game.
Wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who had 72 catches for 1,384 yards and eight touchdowns and led the NFL with 19.2 ypc average, will replace Detroit's Calvin Johnson on the team, the NFL announced Tuesday.
Tampa Bay defensive tackle Gerald McCoy was selected to the Pro Bowl in December.
Jackson's selection puts him in a select group with fellow NFC Pro Bowler Brandon Marshall, who played for Miami in 2011: the two are the first receivers since the merger to make the AFC Pro Bowl squad one year and then make the NFC roster the following year.
Buccaneers rookie running back Doug Martin remains an alternate for the game should one of the three backs selected (Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch and Frank Gore) be unable to play.
It is the first time the Buccaneers had more than one Pro Bowler since the 2009 game, when Ronde Barber, Derrick Brooks, Clifton Smith and Davin Joseph represented Tampa Bay.
