A source has confirmed that the New England Patriots have taken OT Sebastian Vollmer and TE Daniel Fells off the PUP list after both passed their physicals, paving their way to be available at the start of the regular season.

Vollmer has been recovering from a back injury from last season and Fells had a leg injury. Neither is eligible to play in Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but can practice in full pads in a few days.

The return of Vollmer is good news for the team's thin offensive line, as he's the protected starter at RT. Another boost for the line could come soon if Brian Waters decides to return to the team.

Daniel Fells signed a 3-year deal with the Patriots after playing one year in Denver.
