By Paul Kenyon While much of the talk about the Patriots' offensive line has focused on the health of left tackle Matt Light this week, the situation on the right side has become a topic of discussion, as well.
Rookie Nate Solder has handled that spot much of the season because of injuries to Sebastian Vollmer, last year's starters. Early in the week, line coach Dante Scarnecchia reported that he expected Vollmer to be ready to play Sunday in Super Bowl XLVI.
Vollmer has played little this season. He missed five of the first six games with a back problem.
He returned briefly, but then injured his foot. Even this week he has missed time because of illness. The good news for the Patriots is that he is feeling better. He indicated Wednesday that he hopes to play against the Giants.
