The Cincinnati Bengals are almost two weeks away from returning to practice.

Here's a rundown of when the Bengals will be holding their offseason workouts over the next few months prior to training camp:

  • First day: April 15
  • Voluntary OTAs: May 28-30, June 3-6
  • Mandatory minicamp: June 11-13

The Bengals will have one day together before the NFL Draft, and will reconvene as a team the next month when the full offseason roster has been assembled.

Not included in these dates is rookie minicamp, which is expected to take place a couple weeks after the NFL Draft in the middle of May.

The top story will be when quarterback Joe Burrow begins throwing at practice. James Rapien of AllBengals.com reported earlier this week that Burrow has already begun throwing again. Will he tossing the pigskin in voluntary OTAs? Or will they hold him out until mandatory minicamp a week later?

Wide receiver Tee Higgins will also be a topic of discussion. Higgins requested a trade earlier this month after the club placed the franchise tag on him. It would not be surprising to see Higgins holdout from practicing with the team all the way through training camp like Jessie Bates III did in 2022.

Higgins' full offseason plan will become more clear if he shows up, or is absent during these sessions.
