Fullback Vonta Leach was released by the Super Bowl Champions, the Baltimore Ravens, earlier this month. Leach was quick to say that he’d sign with a new team within two weeks. Now Leach is saying that he isn’t in any rush to sign with a new team, and it’s not because no one wants him.
Via Ralph Vacciano of the New York Daily, Leach is keeping all his options open at this moment.

While the fullback position is a dying breed, Leach is one of the best at his position earning Pro Bowl honors last year so it comes as no surprise that he is being perused by multiple teams. Leach also doesn’t close the door on returning to the Ravens. He says if they’re both “equal’, there is a chance of him returning to the team that made him a champion.

Watching the Baltimore Ravens win the Super Bowl this past January wasn’t an easy thing to do for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In fact, the entirety of the 2012 Ravens playoff series was difficult to watch because of the clutch play of oft-scrutinized quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco’s performance in the playoffs was outstanding, throwing 11 touchdowns without any...

Mark December 22nd on your calendars folks, because that is the day the Baltimore Ravens head to what will surely be a surly Foxboro crowd to play the Patriots. Okay so it’s a lot longer than 106 miles to East Rutherford, it will take a lot more than a full tank of gas, hopefully no one smokes (because that stuff is bad for you), and if it is dark hopefully the driver isn’t wearing sunglasses.
But is time to get the band back together.
