FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – JACKSONVILLE, FL – Tuesday, November 2, 2010 – Attention fans! You can vote now for the players you believe should be the Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Year for the United Football League for the 2010 season.
Select the player in each of the three categories that has excited you the most during the season, and submit your vote online. The fan vote will be combined with those posted by the five United Football League head coaches and will count towards 50 percent of the voting.

Among the Offensive Player of the Year candidates are UFL touchdown leader Dominic Rhodes (Florida Tuskers running back), league receptions leader Cory Ross (Sacramento Mountain Lions running back), passer rating pacesetter Josh McCown (Hartford Colonials quarterback), fourth-quarter comeback king Jeff Garcia (Omaha Nighthawks quarterback) and 2009 UFL Championship Game MVP DeDe Dorsey (Las Vegas Locomotives running back).
Names to consider for Defensive Player of the Year include UFL interceptions leader Isaiah Trufant (Locos cornerback), tackling machine Odell Thurman (Tuskers linebacker), rising star Andrew Sendejo (Mountain Lions safety), ballhawk Clinton Hart (Nighthawks safety) and backfield disruptor Maurice Fountain (Colonials defensive end).
Among the Special Teams Player of the Year choices are return specialists Aaron Woods (Sacramento) and Shaud Williams (Omaha), kickers Nick Novak (Florida) and Steve Haushka (Las Vegas), punter Danny Baugher (Las Vegas) and kickoff returner Gerard Lawson (Hartford).
Votes must be cast by the November 15 deadline date, and the winners will be announced during the week of the UFL Championship Game to be played on Saturday November 27 (live on Versus 11am CDT / 12pm EDT) at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.
The United Football League season heads into Week 8 with a playoff mentality and an extra buzz around the upcoming games.
