So Asante is gonna play for Philly next year. I'm not happy about it, I was all extra willing to forgive him for playing so shitty in the superbowl and everything & then he goes and ditches us because we didn't want to pay him as much as he wanted. I kind of expected for him to leave tho, so bye bye to his sexy ass. Clearly he's not interested in winning the next superbowl.
I do have to say that I'm a little bit nervous that the Patriots haven't worked out anything w/Randy yet though. I guess he's not happy with the money we're offering. Buuut, he came to play in New England for less then he was playing for in Oakland because he wanted to win. So is he really gonna ditch us just because after the first season, after an almost PERFECT season, we didn't win the superbowl? I think that's silly. I think he's a grown ass man and he should have some patience. & might I add that he didn't especially have the game of his life in the superbowl. But I'm not gonna dump on him cuz he's one of my favorite Patriots and I think he had an amazing season. I'm just disappointed that the whole season, especially towards the end, he was all like yep I wanna retire a Patriot, I love playing with Tom Brady- all this talk about how he's going to come back. And then the Patriots don't win the superbowl and all the sudden he's not sure. I understand if the whole season went wrong and everything like that- but they won every other game but that one. Granted yes, that's the MOST important game eevveerr... but, what about this year? It's not like we can't get back there. And he just wants to dump us. So I'd be sad if he didn't come back.
It's like when Syracuse won the championship over Kansas and Carmelo was all talking about he's coming back and they're gonna do it three more times. Wamp. He was ooouuuttt after that season, peace out Orangemen.
I just hate the business side of sports! I know it's how athletes make a living but I have a really hard time sympathizing with them when we're talking about millions and millions of dollars. What ever happened to loyalty to your team?
