Receiver Bobby Wade is heading to the Kansas City Chiefs, his agent Jerome Stanley said in an email. Wade has agreed to terms on a contract with the Chiefs, Stanley said, although he did not elaborate. The Tennessee Titans had also expressed an interest in Wade, who was released last Thursday by the Vikings. Even after taking a pay cut that reduced his base salary for the season to about $1.5 million, Wade was released and replaced by veteran Greg Lewis. He likely wasn't picked up by any other club because he would have been guaranteed his entire salary for the season with his new team if he were on the roster for the season opener. Now, though, teams can pay Wade on a game-by-game basis. The Chiefs lost their season opener to the Baltimore Ravens, 38-24, without their starting quarterback Matt Cassel. The Chiefs receiving corp is thin, headlined by Dwayne Bowe and former Chicago Bear Mark Bradley.
