The NFL waiver wire, in short: 'a cut player with less than four years of service time is placed on waivers. All 31 other teams can place a claim on the player and add him to their 53-man roster. If the player goes unclaimed through waivers, they are free to sign with any team as an unrestricted free agent. The waiver wire order is identical to the 2014 NFL Draft order, so the Eagles will have the 22nd claim on any cuts that take place. Teams with the worse records own the highest waiver claim priority.' The waiver period ended at 12:00 PM EST on Sunday: With safety Brandon Meriweather set to miss the first two games of the season due yet another suspension, the Washington Redskins added some depth to the position, claiming former Denver Broncos DB Duke Ihenacho. Per Kevin Patra, NFL.com: 'The Broncos released the safety Saturday. After Denver added T.J. Ward in the offseason and got Rahim Moore and Quinton Carter back from injury, Ihenacho -- who started 17 games last year for the Broncos, including the Super Bowl -- was squeezed off the roster. A good in-the-box strong safety, Ihenacho should fill in for Meriweather during the suspension and could play a big role lining up next to Ryan Clark in a porous Redskins back end'  NEWS: The #Redskins have announced several roster moves.
