We are headed into week four of the NFL Fantasy Football season. Bye weeks and injuries are leaving fantasy owners with rosters that have holes to be filled. Today we will take a look at some of the players that may be sitting there on your waiver wire that you may want to take a look at to either start this week or stash for the upcoming weeks.
Running Back:
BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Patriots: Normally we just stay away from the New England backfield as it it is just a jumbled mess of carries within a group of RBs. Now with the trade of Maroney and injuries stacking up in the Pats Running Back roster, Green-Ellis is making some separation from the pack.
Peyton Hillis, Browns: For now it looks like Hillis is the man moving forward and Jermome Harrison will have a reduced role. It’s hard to ignore a back putting up 180 total yards on the Ravens.
Ryan Torain, Redskins: It looks like Keiland Williams has been bumped to the #3 RB spot in Washington by Ryan Torain. Torain is the backup to Portis and will see more time. If he cans tay healthy he may be a sweet pickup to have stashed if Portis goes down or has his role reduced.
Ken Darby, Rams: Steven Jackson is a warrior and will likely make it back on the field in week four despite his groin injury. A long shot wire pickup this week would be Ken Darby. If Jackson doesn’t go, Darby will get a bulk of the carries. What’s the long shot? Well…Steven Jackson makes more happen for the Rams running game than his supporting cast so it’s not just a plug and play jackpot like the Broncos were back in the day.
Wide Receiver:
Lance Moore, Saints: Well Lance is back. It was no secret that he was a possible breakout Waiver Wire pick up last week as everyone knew that he was going to take some of those touches that belonged to Reggie Bush. What wasn’t expected was Moore taking those touches and instantly blowing up, especially if your league rewards returns. If he is still on your wire you have to grab him if you have a spot as even if Bush comes back they will keep him involved as a hot hand if he continues.
