Social media gives fans 24/7 access to some athletes; guys who like to let people know what they are doing every second of the day. A lot of fans eat up that kind of access to their stars and want to see them out and about having a good time in their respective cities and partying.  It's fun. It's what we do, and since professional athletes are able to do it on a different level and scale than us we love to see them 'make it rain'--something that Washington Redskins fans are not likely to see Robert Griffin III doing anytime soon.   Of course it helps that he is preparing to get married and settle down. Most of the party animals are singles guys with no ties or responsibilities other than showing up for team functions, practices, and games. However it is not like married guys have to stay home (or do in the NFL)... But when it comes to RG3 fans should not expect to be able to 'bump' into him at the club anytime soon. “I’ve been out...

The Return of Roy Helu

Nine months after injuring ligaments in his toe, Redskins running back Roy Helu, Jr. was seen taking handoffs, catching passes, cutting and running full speed.  The Redskins front office was forced to bring in competition for 3rd year running backs Helu and Evan Royster because of their injured and ineffective 2012 campaign behind 6th round rookie sensation Alfred Morris. The Redskins...

Pat White “thankful” for his chance to play again

Quarterback Pat White was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2009. By the end of 2010, White was cut by the team and many assumed his career was over at that point. Fast forward to 2013 and you’ll find the Washington Redskins giving White a shot and he’s thankful for it. I know that there’s still a lot to be learned, a lot for me to accomplish, but I’m willing to put in the...

Could the government force Daniel Snyder to change the name ‘Redskins’

Daniel Snyder really shook up the room when he made the following comments about changing the name Redskins: “We will never change the name of the team,” the Washington Redskins owner told USA Today this week. “As a lifelong Redskins fan, and I think that the Redskins fans understand the great tradition and what it’s all about and what it means, so we feel pretty fortunate...

Chase Minnifield is Ready to Compete for a Roster Spot

After suffering a torn ACL in mini-camp that ended his rookie season before it ever had a chance to get started, Redskins cornerback Chase Minnifield says he will be ready to compete for a job in the secondary when training camp opens on July 25th in Richmond Virginia. Minnifield was medically cleared earlier this month...

Redskins open to bringing back Tanard Jackson

Redskins head coach Mike Shanhan has indicated that he’s open to welcoming back safety Tanard Jackson once he’s eligible to be reinstated by the NFL as he continues to serve a one-year suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy just before last season. “At the safety position, we lost [Brandon] Meriweather and Tanard Jackson last year and you are hoping...

Redskins will likely let Brian Orakpo play out the final year of his contract

Dan Graziano of ESPN.com believes the Washington Redskins will let linebacker Brian Orakpo play out the final year of his current contract before working on an extension. Brian Orakpo says he’s not worried about his contract situation with one year left on his deal. For whatever it’s worth, a week ago I believed the Redskins were likely to try to extend Orakpo this offseason...

Still No Progress Between Brian Orakpo & Redskins Regarding An Extension

It’s been reported this offseason that the Washington Redskins and linebacker Brian Orakpo have wanted to get a long-term extension done before he enters the final year of his current contract. With training camp just over a month away, the two parties have yet to work on an extension. The good news however is that Orakpo doesn’t appear to use the lack of new paper as ammo to...

RG3 walking without a limp when not wearing a knee brace

According to the Washington Post, while it looked as if Robert Griffin III was limping during the Redskins OTA’s, when he was walking around without the knee brace, he didn’t have a limp. Griffin did appear to limp as he ran sprints at the conclusion of that June 6 practice, but he insisted that it was related to the brace he wears on that reconstructed right knee, and not...

What kind of QB will Johnny Manziel be in the NFL?

Since Johnny Manziel tweeted that he can't wait to get out of college football, a lot of speculation has begun about what kind of quarterback Manziel will be in the NFL. He's athletic, and he has the measurables, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll make a smooth transition to the pro game. Mike Freeman of CBS Sports took the time to ask some general managers...

We have no idea how good Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel when he enters the NFL.  But one NFL general manager believes he can be better than Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck, according to Mike Freeman of CBS Sports. One general manager said Manziel, the first freshman to win the Heisman, will be better than the current crop of young athletic quarterbacks...

Yup, That’s Grass — KSK Kontent Klearinghouse

It only took the near destruction of their franchise quarterback, but the Redskins have finally installed a workable playing surface at FedEx Field. Behold the lush greenily greenness. Having seen how this played out, I wonder what it would take for Dan Snyder to change his mind on the team name controversy? Offended protesters taking clubs to RGIII’s knee? Also, the new field...
