According to multiple sources, the Washington Redskins have added their second free agent running back of the off season, agreeing to terms with former Steelers running back Willie Parker.
The deal is for one year and can be worth as much as $3.1 million with incentives.
After the emergence of Rashard Mendenhall, Parker clearly lost his grip on the staring role in Pittsburgh. According to agent Douglas Hendrickson, the Redskins have let him know that the running back competition is wide open in Washington.
Regardless, the Redskins now have a nice three headed rushing attack they can employ along with Clinton Portis, and fellow free agent import Larry Johnson. All three have proven track records as feature backs
