Stats don't lie. And neither do disgruntled Redskins fans. The Washington Redskins have essentially scrapped their 2012 identity for the sake of preserving their quarterback. But was this offensive face-lift worth it? Here are the Stats: The Redskins in 2012 were ranked No. 1 in the NFL in rushing attempts at 33.5 per game. So far in 2013, the Skins are ranked 27th in the NFL. The pistol offense certainly facilitated the Redskins' running game, but why abandon the run all together? Especially when you have the No. 2 rushing back in the NFL from 2012? Offensive face-lift or not, Mike Shanahan cannot be happy being ranked 27th in run attempts. Either the Redskins go back to their Shanahanian roots or their defense will continue to set records in yards allowed. In 2012, the Redskins threw only 8 interceptions, ranking No. 1 in the NFL. So far in 2013, after only 3 games, they've already thrown 4 INTs, 5th worst in the NFL. Sure, this is kinda like getting more speeding tick...
