Carson Wentz throws awful pick-six vs. Browns
Carson Wentz's regression continues. Scott Galvin-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz entered Week 11’s action against the Cleveland Browns leading the NFL with 12 interceptions. It’s one of the primary reasons Philadelphia finds itself with a 3-5-1 record despite leading the NFC East.

Unfortunately for Wentz and his Eagles, the quarterback’s mistake-prone ways cost them big-time in what was a 0-0 game in Cleveland.

We fully understand that Wentz was hit as he threw. But the dude simply needs to tuck the ball and take the sack. Throwing the ball out in the flats for anyone to haul in was a rookie-level mistake.

The end result was a 50-yard touchdown return by Browns linebacker Sione Takitaki.

There’s a reason Wentz has drawn criticism in Philadelphia this season. Most expected the high-priced former top-two pick to take his game to an elite level in his fourth season. Wentz has gone in the complete opposite direction.

This interception led to fans calling for embattled head coach Doug Pederson to replace Wentz with rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts under center.

At some point, Pederson might have to pull the trigger. Wentz has just been brutal this season, and it continues to cost the Eagles at nearly every turn.
