Read And React:
Former Ravens owner Art Modell was laid to rest on Tuesday in Baltimore, and Modell got his send-off from one of the best in linebacker Ray Lewis.
Lewis has long been known as one of the most inspirational teammates in the NFL for his fiery, sermon-like pre and post-game speeches. And once again, Lewis delivered in his tribute to Modell, the visionary:
This man lived a life that should make every person in this room smile and find a different way to impact somebody along the way. Because once it all settles, and we all have to lay here one day, what will your legacy be? A legend, leaving a legacy of commitment, of sacrifice, of obedience. A vision, to honor a great man.

Baltimore Ravens 11-year veteran safety Ed Reed is in the final year of his contract. He has hinted at retirement for the last several years. PAY THE MAN!
Following the Ravens QB's stellar performance in Baltimore's win over Cincinnati, head coach John Harbaugh said the team should pay Joe Flacco "whatever he wants."
I knew beneath all that screaming and yelling on the field was a big soft hearted man.

Joe Flacco is entering the final year of his rookie deal and still has to deal with critics who feel he can’t win the big game or be an elite quarterback.
Flacco wants it to be known he is dead serious this season about being elite.
He took the first steps last in night leading the Ravens in an obliteration of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Flacco was 21-of-29 for 299 yards...
Every tuesday, I rank the 32 teams in the NFL with a short description of why they've received that ranking.
1. San Francisco 49ers
Went to Green Bay and beat the Packers; you can't get better than that.
2. Baltimore Ravens
Completely demolished the Bengals; looked great on both sides of the ball
3. New England Patriots

He suffered a hamstring injury in the Monday night game against the Bengals.Fantasy Spin:Reed appeared to hurt the leg on his 34-yard interception return for a touchdown which gave the Ravens an insurmountable 34-13 lead. There’s plenty to talk about after only one week of football in the AFC North.First and foremost is the play of the Baltimore Ravens, who coincidentally are in first place in the division. The Ravens made an emphatic statement on Monday night against the Bengals that the road for the AFC North crown will go through them. The stellar play of their defense has almost been taken for...

“You were totally worth the money, RayRay!”
Ravens Offense. Good. Night. If Baltimore can put together a complete football game like Monday Night, every week, just had them the Lombardi trophy. Ed Reed and Ray Lewis directly impact the final score by forcing key turnovers...

Among the many interesting subplots of the Eagles' hosting the Ravens this coming Sunday are the parallel universes of Eagles CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Ravens QB Joe Flacco...Both are playing for new long-term contracts. Both are coincidentally playing lights out since preseason began. And now both will be facing off against each other, with the winner of the match...
Baltimore Ravens (1-0) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-0)
Before the season started, I identified 5 teams I thought were overrated and 5 I thought were underrated. The idea was to bet these teams (or against these teams) until I was proven wrong or until the odds makers caught up. It served me well last week. Of the 7 games involving these 10 teams, I nailed 5, including my pick of the...
